Terms of use

Using this site means accepting the terms set out below. They are short because the site does relatively little: it publishes test results and points at software vendors.

What you are getting here

Editorial information about watermark removal and watermarking software, produced from our own testing and published as general guidance. It is not legal advice, and it is no substitute for reading the terms of the software you buy or of the platform whose mark you intend to clear.

How reliable the figures are

Prices, plan contents and free-tier limits change without warning and frequently without announcement. Every figure here carries the date it was verified, and we correct errors as they are reported, but the vendor’s own checkout is always the authority over anything printed on this site.

Scores reflect our testing against a fixed file set at a particular point in time, described on how we test watermark removers. Your results will vary with your files, your hardware and the version you happen to install.

Who is responsible for a removal

This site is written for people clearing a mark from content they created, from a project they own, or from a free-tier export of software they use. Every app guide leads with the official route for exactly that reason.

You are responsible for holding the right to modify any file you process. Clearing a mark from content you do not hold rights to, misrepresenting authorship, or presenting AI-generated media as something else where disclosure is required, all fall outside what this site covers and outside what it endorses.

Some links earn us a commission, as set out in the affiliate disclosure. Those links lead to sites we do not control. Their terms, privacy policies, pricing and behaviour belong to them, and a link is not a warranty of any kind about what you find at the other end.

When you buy software, your contract is with the vendor rather than with us. Refunds, licences, support and disputes all go to them, and we have no visibility into any of it.

Intellectual property

The text, the scores, the test methodology and the original graphics on this site belong to Watermark Remover. Quoting a short extract with a link back is entirely fine. Republishing pages, scraping the score data, or reproducing the rankings wholesale is not.

Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify the products under review, which is their only purpose on these pages.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the information here, including any decision to buy software, any result a tool produces, or any consequence of modifying a file.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law and future changes

Material changes are reflected in the update date at the top of this page rather than announced separately.

To confirm before launch: the legal entity operating this site, together with the governing law and jurisdiction that apply to these terms.
