Canva Pro vs CapCut Pro: which subscription clears your watermark?

Canva Pro takes it, 8.7/10 against 8.3, on quality, value and range: it covers images, video and PDF where CapCut Pro is images and video, and Bulk Create stamps your own branding across hundreds of designs in a way CapCut has no answer to.

Neither is a watermark remover, and that is the point. Canva Pro licenses the premium asset so the tiles never render; CapCut Pro drops the end-card from every future export. Both fix the mark at source, which beats reconstructing it every time — but only for marks their own app created. Against a logo burned in elsewhere, both are useless.

Choose Canva Pro if

  • Your export is blocked by tiles on a premium Canva asset — licensing removes them for good.
  • You work across images, video and PDF rather than short-form clips alone.
  • You brand in bulk: Bulk Create stamps hundreds of designs in one run.

Choose CapCut Pro if

  • The mark is the CapCut end-card on a Pro template or effect.
  • You edit on a phone and want the project to open untouched on a desktop.
  • You want auto-captions and the Pro effect library on the same subscription.

Two source fixes, two different marks

Which one you need is decided by the app that made the mark, not by the table. If Canva put it there, Canva Pro is the answer; if CapCut did, CapCut Pro is. Running a third-party remover over either mark gives a worse result at a similar cost, because both marks sit over the middle of the frame by design.

On price the two are close, $18 against $19.99 a month, and both free tiers export clean as long as you stay on free assets. Canva’s bill climbs fastest once you add seats; CapCut’s availability depends on your region. Where the mark came from neither app, start at the remover rankings instead.

Canva Pro vs CapCut Pro FAQ

Does Canva Pro remove watermarks from images I did not make in Canva?

No. Its Magic Eraser lifts objects and stamps off photos inside the editor, but Canva Pro’s watermark fix is a licensing one: it applies to Canva’s own premium assets. For a mark from another app, use a dedicated remover.

How do I get rid of the CapCut watermark?

The end-card appears when a project uses Pro templates or effects. CapCut Pro removes it from every export going forward, not just the open project. Cutting it off afterwards costs you the last seconds of the clip; reconstructing it never looks right.

Which free tier is more usable?

Both export clean if you stay on free assets, and both mark the export the moment you use a premium one. CapCut scores marginally higher on that count in our scoring because free-asset projects cover more of what people actually make.

Can I use both for the same project?

Yes, and it is common: design in Canva, edit in CapCut. Just note that each subscription only clears its own mark, so a project that touches premium assets in both apps needs both plans to export clean.
